Sleeving for motor rewinding and repair shops

Rewinders need a sleeve that survives varnish curing and the heat of a loaded motor, then stays flexible when the leads are bent into the terminal box. Our fibreglass sleeves are braided in Faridabad and supplied by the spool to rewinding shops and motor OEMs across India.

Common problems

What goes wrong with cables in motor rewinding

Varnish and oven curing

Lead-wire sleeves go through impregnation and baking with the winding. Standard PVC sleeving softens or chars.

Hot terminal boxes

Leads sit next to windings running hot for hours. The sleeve has to keep its insulation and shape.

Fraying at the cut end

Loose ends unravel during fitting and slow the job down. Heat-treated braid cuts cleaner.

Questions

Frequently asked

Which sleeve do rewinders use for motor lead wires?

Most use fibreglass sleeve. Heat-treated fibreglass is chosen where the leads run hot or pass through varnish curing. Send the lead diameter and we will recommend a size.

Do you sell small quantities to rewinding shops?

Our minimum order is 500 metres per size. Many shops order two or three common sizes together.

Can you supply fibreglass sleeve with test data?

Yes. Applicable grade reports and RoHS/REACH declarations are supplied on request for the size you order.
